The California Deal: Making it Stronger and Greener for Everyone

Over more than two decades, Sierra Club California and our allies have been pushing state agencies and the legislature to accelerate adoption of zero-emission vehicles.
 
We’ve seen progress. There are nearly 50 models of zero-emission light-duty vehicles in the California market, and more are expected. The driving range on a charge for some models is as long as with many gasoline vehicles.

National Drive Electric Week

This was a fun and informative event, learning about the different types of Electric Vehicles (EV's), seeing all these cool vehicles in one place, and meeting their very proud owners. The exhibits included all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The owners all swear they’d never go back to a gasoline-powered vehicle again!

It is not news that the climate of our home planet has been changing with temperatures rising significantly, especially in the last few decades. Increased greenhouse gases have already caused the ocean to warm, snow and ice to diminish, the sea level to rise, and weather to become more extreme.
