This is really tough. The re-election of Donald Trump means that we will face escalating attacks on the environment, putting our work that you care so much about at risk.
 
Trump’s approach is to frame environmental protections and regulations as elitist tools that harm ordinary people. But we are the people, and we know that the environmental policies we have fought for genuinely improve lives and make a difference every day. By focusing on these positive impacts, we will continue to build support and make progress.

Elections bring about uncertainty. We don’t know if environmental regulations will be protected or dissolved. We’re wondering if our protected lands will expand or become vulnerable to exploitation. Are the agencies and programs that conserve the environment going to be strengthened or at risk of being defunded? Are campaign promises - or threats - hyperbole or truth?

It’s getting hot out and in here. We often talk about how extreme heat is becoming more common, lasting longer (into fall), and is part of California's regular climate. On top of wildfires in the state, air pollution from gas-fired equipment in buildings and homes has us in a chokehold. But thanks to people like you who are tired of breathing in polluted air outside and inside our homes, we have been leading the way towards the fossil fuel-free future we all deserve.

Environmental advocates will deliver an updated petition demanding the Los Angeles Dodgers cut ties to Big Oil by immediately ending the team's sponsorship deal with oil giant Phillips 66, owner of the 76 gas-station brand whose logo and ads are plastered across Dodger Stadium.

Rum and baseball don't have much in common.
 
But the two recently came together in a statement of outrage over the Los Angeles Dodgers' sponsorship deal with Phillips 66. The oily multinational owns the 76 gas-station brand whose logos are plastered across Dodger stadium, sending fans the dangerous, deceptive message that Big Oil is as wholesome as a beloved American pastime.
