Chapter seeks Legal Committee volunteers
The Angeles Chapter is seeking new members for its Chapter Legal Committee.
The committee serves as a pool of pro-bono legal resources to provide advice and legal work to Chapter conservation activists. It also provides legal information to our Chapter via events and newsletters. Members are lawyers or other legal professionals who have volunteered their time to help Angeles Chapter committees and task forces with their legal issues.
Want to be active with Chapter's Central Group?
The Angeles Chapter Sierra Club is made up of groups based on regions in Los Angeles and Orange counties. In 2015, the Executive Committee voted to place the Central Group under reorganization. This decision was based upon the group’s difficulty in meeting the minimum standards required for groups as established by the Sierra Club.
The Central Group lies in the heart of the Angeles Chapter area.
If you live in the Central Group area, this is your opportunity to decide what you want your local Sierra Club to look like:
Why these owls need our help
Burrowing owls need a lot of space -- roughly about 200 acres -- to hunt for food. They are winter residents at Banning Ranch, one of the last stretches of privately-owned undeveloped land on Southern California’s coast.
