Earth Day Volunteers Needed

Earth Day is right around the corner! Sierra Club participation is in high demand throughout the month of April to provide outreach at schools, fairs and other events. Diversity Task Force Needs Volunteers

Volunteers wanted for Diversity Task Force. If you have knowledge, background or interest in diversity issues and would like to participate in the Chapter's ongoing diversity outreach, we'd like to hear from you! We want and need to enhance our membership to better reflect the Los Angeles/Orange County community at large. There's a whole wide diverse world out there interested in the same conservation and environmental issues that we care about, and we want to tap into it! Orange County Global Warming Committee Needs You

The Orange County Global Warming Committee is looking for volunteers interested in participating in the Juicing Orange County project by becoming City Advocates for the following cities in South Orange County: Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, or Rancho Santa Margarita. If you live in or near one of these cities, this is an opportunity to develop an ongoing relationship with city officials who are developing plans to make their cities more energy efficient and reduce city greenhouse gas emissions. Donations Needed for Awards Banquet Silent Auction

The Annual Awards Banquet is Sunday May 2, 2010 and the Silent Auction at 5 pm on the outdoor patio,s is a whole lot of fun. As Mary Ann Webster says, everyone has something. We could use sports items, jewelry, a service or a vacation spot. Unique items welcome. Contact Mary Ann Webster for information.

The Water Committee now meets the second Tuesday of each month, 7 p.m. at the Chapter Headquarters.

Join the Zero Waste Committee

Humankind's current interaction with the environment cannot be sustained. Promote zero waste. Contact Hillary Gordon Committee meets the fourth Tuesday of every month, 7 p.m., Chapter Headquarters.

Web Editors, Designers, Developers Needed

The Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) is responsible for the Angeles Chapter's web site. We need volunteers to work alongside our current team to design new features, develop applications, and maintain content.
