Featured Events below highlight our Travel Adventures. We will be adding more Adventures, plus Featured Outings and Activities to this page as we begin to reopen in-person gatherings. Please note that proceeds for these Featured Events are also important fundraisers which provide vital support for the work of the Angeles Chapter.

Our schedule often includes trips to the mountains, canyonlands and jungles of Asia, Europe, and North America, as well as our most local back yards, but no matter where we are, we never forget the Sierra Club's mission: to explore, enjoy, and protect the planet.   • Sand Dunes and Sun

    See vibrant Morocco & experience the culture, nature, and sights. We will walk through the old narrow streets of Marrakech’s Medina, Ait Ben Haddou's kasbah, and drive the Thousand Kasbah road visiting a few kasbahs on our way to the Dades Gorge. Hike in the Todra Gorge if you want. and go to the Moroccan desert and meet a Berber family. Along the way, we'll go to Azrou (looking for Barbary macaques), Fez, the Roman archaeological city of Volubilis and Casablanca.

    Join us for a 14-day non-traditional adventure to see the wildlife & culture of Nepal. This takes the best of our previous trips and we have added a lot more sights. The 14-day trip encompasses observing wildlife in Nepal's premier national park, seeing the highest mountains in the world, experience the culture and history of Nepal and the wildlife visiting many UNESCO World Heritage Sites or nominated Sites. You will also learn about the religion and culture of the Nepalese.

    Join us for a 11 day, 10 night tour of the mysterious Kingdom of Bhutan. Get an in-depth tour learning about the culture, meeting some Bhutanese families, seeing beautiful and historic buildings and religious temples, beautiful mountain and countryside scenery on this small tour of Bhutan. A visit to Bhutan is like stepping back in time. We are traveling in November which is one of the best times for photography and viewing the dramatic scenery.

    See two different festivals, with traditional dance, song, and music in Bhutan; lots of Bhutanese in traditional costume and playing traditional instruments; many of Bhutan’s UNESCO nominated world heritage sites; dramatic views of the Bhutanese Himalayas and other mountain areas; learn about such Bhutanese arts as weaving, painting, sculpting, carving, and more in our visits to the Fine Arts School.

    Join us on a wide-ranging, two-week adventure in Sri Lanka. It is a shining gem of a destination in the Indian Ocean, and is rich in culture, UNESCO World Heritage sites, wildlife, birds, and stunning beaches. It offers world-class shopping for clothes, gems, and art, and its unique and delicious cuisine is rich in fresh seafood and vegetables.

    See Sri Lank's North Central Heritage Cities, home to five UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave Temple, and Kandy (including Temple of the Tooth, another world heritage site), which are rich in ancient architecture and religious monuments. A visit to a typical village to meet local families, and a lunch at a women's cooperative. ;In Kandy, we plan to visit the national botanical gardens. Visit a spice market, a gem museum.

    Join us for a 14 day non-traditional adventure to see the wildlife, history and culture of Mongolia
    This is a trip to Central Mongolia and the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, the land of open space. This trip visits Hustai Nuruu National Park where you will see the Mongolian wild horse ( Przewalski's horse)and other animals such as wild gazelles, wild mountain sheep, deer, and birds.

    We will visit Karakorum, the capital from Genghis Khan times.

    Join us for the grand tour of 4 National Parks in the Canadian Rockies. Jasper and Banff National Parks are the largest of Canada's Rocky Mountain Parks.

    Great opportunities for wildlife viewing with the spectacular mountains, glacial lakes, and glaciers. Visit the Columbia Icefield, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Medicine Lake, Emerald Lake, and many more. Visit Johnston Canyon Falls, Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls, Takakkaw Falls, and more in the Yoho Valley. Boat ride on Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island. See moose, elk, bears, big horn sheep, and many more animals found in the parks.

Come join our volunteer communities as we explore, enjoy, and protect the planet. The proceeds of these activities directly support the work of the hosting Sectional Group or entity.
