Learn, Have Fun, and Satisfy Environmental Awareness Requirement

This year, there will be two Winter Ecology Workshops, the traditional cross-country ski workshop on March 19-21 with leaders Jim and Ginny Heringer, and the popular snowshoe workshop on April 9-11 (note new dates), with leaders Mei Kwan and Bill Payne. Both trips are designed for ski and snow tripleaders and for anyone interested in the winter environment.

The trips take place in June Lake with outings to the best locations around June Lake and Mammoth for tracking and naturalizing in the winter environment. Our naturalist is Jean Dillingham, interpretive hike leader for Mammoth Mountain and Tamarack Lodge and long-time LAUSD science resource teacher. The fee of $75 includes naturalist instruction, breakfasts and trail lunches, and accommodation at local Sierra Club member's home on Friday and Saturday nights. Space is limited, so reserve soon. For more information and to make a reservation, contact Ginny Heringer at 626-793-4727 or Mei Kwan at 626-355-1708.
