Poseidon Water, a Corporation based in Massachusetts wants to build a massive ocean desalination plant in Huntington Beach.  

This plant would use a flawed design that would kill marine life, pollute our ocean and use huge amounts of energy. And we don't need the water! 

Sign our petition today to stop the Poseidon desalination plant.

The State Water Resources Control Board recently amended the California Ocean Plan to include requirements for how desalination plants should be built to minimize impacts to marine life and water quality. The project does not meet these requirements but Poseidon is forcing the Coastal Commission to hold a hearing on the project in September under a state permit "streamlining" law, before the Water Board has made its decision on whether the plant meets the new state requirements. 

Tell the Coastal Commission to deny Poseidon a permit.

We need the Coastal Commission to deny Poseidon a permit until their project has been reviewed by the Water Board and it fully complies with the new state requirements for desalination plants.
