Meet newly elected Sierra Club 2015 board members

The ballots have been counted and newly elected members to the 2015 Sierra Club Board of Directors are:

--Allison Chin

--Spencer Black

--Margrete Strang Rangnes

--Liz Walsh

--Steve Ma

These five join the 15-member board. Angeles Chapter members Susana Reyes, Dean Wallraff as well as Loren Blackford, Donna Buell, Michael Dorsey, Jim Dougherty, Charles Frank, Jessica Helm, Aaron Mair and Robin Mann will remain on the governing board.

In a typical year, less than 10% of eligible members vote in the Board of Directors election, and participation has been declining. A minimum of 5% is required for the election to be valid. Eligible voters are individuals who have been members for at least a year.
