Want to learn about the bays of Orange County?

Come explore on a series of easy to moderate back-to-back hikes on April 12 and 13 to discover the wild side of Newport Beach and points south.

The first two hikes explore the Newport Back Bay for closeup views of migrating birds and ducks. Meet 8 a.m. for a walk along Eastbay Drive to Back Bay Drive. (more information). Then regroup at 10:30 a.m. on the west side starting at the Muth Interpretive Center and onto the bluffs and the wetlands (more information).

Two more hikes on April 13 will explore Bolsa Chica wetlands along PCH in Huntington Beach and up to the bluff. The hike begins at 9 a.m. with a 4-plus mile walk through old and new sections of the wetland. (more information) A second hike starting at noon follows a bluffs walk that offers a great overview of the wetlands complex (more information).

Join us for this weekend of discovery in Orange County.
