, on the heels of our successful March 2011 Vietnam trip, will take travelers from 'that grand old dame of the orient, Hanoi' to the highlands of hill-tribe villages in SaPa to beautiful Halong Bay aboard a deluxe classic junk, from Danang to the Citadel city of Hue to historic Hoi An and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Angkor Wat built nearly a thousand years ago is believed to be the largest religious structure in world and one of the wonders of the world.

'Women hold up half the sky,' said Mao Tse-tung. Women should not be seen as the property of men, to be exploited, demeaned and degraded, but spin the globe. In China, baby boys are greeted by celebrations of joy, while baby girls elicit condolences. In El Salvador, women are arrested out of hospital emergency rooms if they are suspected of having had an abortion. In Moldova and elsewhere, thousands of young women are either kidnapped or sold by their starving families or lured with promises of employment and then sold across borders into a sex-slave trade.

LA Beyond Coal Collecting Business Endorsements

Members of Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign are stepping up their campaign to stop the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) from using coal by gathering endorsements from Los Angeles businesses. Volunteers are telling business owners all over Los Angeles about the city's dependence on dirty coal-fired power plants - LADWP gets 39% of its power from coal-and asking the owners to sign Beyond Coal endorsement forms and put stickers in their windows.
