Help preserve Mojave Desert water resources
Don't steal Mojave Desert water for Orange County lawns and pools!

The Newport Beach City Council is scheduled to vote on whether or not to approve the proposed 1375 home Banning Ranch development project on Monday, July 23, 2012. This is a special council meeting to begin at 6:00 p.m.
Come early for a rally at 5:30pm.
This is THE BIG ONE!!! If you only attend one event to help save Banning Ranch this year, please make it this one! There are many flaws inherent in the draft EIR; every flaw needs to be explained to the City Council in order that it can make an informed vote.
Participating in the Solar Homes Campaign is a great way to join the clean energy revolution and support the Angeles Chapter.

Please note, the Santa Margarita Water District meeting for Jun 27th has been CANCELLED. Please check back on for future efforts to help oppose this project.

UPDATED on June 19th:
We just got news (great) that the CA Senate Judiciary Committee voted 3 to 2 against AB 2226 (Hueso).
Thanks to all of you who faxed letters of opposition or called... and got others in the environmental community to write and phone. I'm sure it made the difference. This bill would have drastically undercut the ability of the CA Coastal Commission to protect the finite resources of the lands along the California coast.
Stop Canada's attacks on environmental charities
President Obama did the right thing when he denied the permits for Keystone XL -- but now Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is using it as an excuse to steal tax-exempt status from charities that stand up to Big Oil.
Join us for a rally at City Hall to urge L.A.'s City Council lead by example and finally adopt its long-proposed plastic bag ban.
