Stop Canada's attacks on environmental charities

President Obama did the right thing when he denied the permits for Keystone XL -- but now Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is using it as an excuse to steal tax-exempt status from charities that stand up to Big Oil.

Prime Minister Harper has always put Big Oil first. As a result, tar sands mining is speeding up climate change, destroying a forest the size of England, and leaching millions of gallons of toxic chemicals into surrounding rivers every day. But this latest assault is unprecedented, with shades of Big Brother: The Prime Minister is literally trying to silence his own citizens for opposing him.

An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.

Join "Black Out, Speak Out" by writing to U.S. Ambassador David Jacobson -- remind him the United States represents free speech, and ask him to oppose Stephen Harper's dirty environmental agenda.
