I am running for reelection to the Angeles Chapter ExComm because I want to continue helping to chart the direction of our Chapter. There are many complicated issues confronting the largest Chapter in the Sierra Club (over 42,000 members in LA and Orange Counties). Among these are conservation challenges on many fronts in both counties, political activism in the coming midterm elections, our own Chapter's fiscal health and very importantly, membership recruitment and retention.

This Club and this Chapter provide me with opportunities to contribute my time and effort, to be a voice for others in Chapter level decision-making, as well the means to introduce folks to the outdoors so they may explore, enjoy and protect our natural resources today and into the future. As an outings leader since 1998, I've met hundreds of people over the years and count among them some of my very best friends. For all of you who sometimes wonder if you too can do this too…the answer is yes. Please ask me how you can help and thanks so much for your support in this coming election.
