The mendenhalls took me to Thaquitz. Tom Condon too... Took the RCS safety test at Mt Pacifico but never got my pin !!! rats. Still have a RCS piton on my desk Royal Robbins, Tom Frost and Harry Daley took me to Yosemite in 1961.... Got a chance to climb with Chuck Pratt on Kat pinacle. Was one of the 3 climbers to be back-up required by NPS in 1963 ( Don Tellshaw and Mort Hemple, the others) for the first FA of North America Wall.. Years later as a fire service professional helped bring Rock climbing skills to the American Fire Service.... creating the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) for the United States in 1978
