Hi, I really appreciate this article! I too campaigned for the wetlands back in the late 1990's. It was my first introduction to Sierra Club! And I have been so interested in birds in recent times, and have a backyard full of feeders for all sorts. What a great primer to learning more about birds (I had even less knowledge about what I was saving at a young age, and just "sold" the idea to people as it was told to me but also for people to see for themselves and experience perhaps why we should save it from development.
