The Angeles Chapter will honor its members at the Centennial Annual Awards Banquet May 1, 2011. (See '2010 Chapter Awardees at bottom left.) The event will take place at the Brookside Country Club near the Rose Bowl. Outdoor reception from 5-6 pm, followed by dinner and presentation of awards. Michael Brune, Sierra Club Executive Director, will be the Keynote Speaker, ready to celebrate our 100 years of service among us.
Volcanos! California has lots of them. You don't have to go to Yellowstone or Washington State to explore and enjoy them. Come with us on our Volcanic Legacy Excursion this August 5-13 to visit Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lava Beds National Monument, and the largest Volcano in California, Mt. Shasta.
