Congressman Adam Schiff Presents Pat Kramer With The Woman of the Year, 2019 Award

Each year, Congressman Schiff names women in each of the communities in his district, to receive this lauded award in honor of Women's History Month. Now the Chairperson of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees the nation's intelligence agencies, Representative Schiff is serving his 10th term in the House of Representatives.

 

Pat "Writer For Hire" Kramer is the most recent winner, named 2019 "Woman of the Year, Sunland-Tujunga," by Congressman Adam Schiff in a ceremony mid-April. Kramer, who is a 30-year member of the Sierra Club and Secretary of the Crescenta Valley Group, is known for her outreach work on environmental issues in her community of Sunland-Tujunga and the northeast San Fernando Valley. She is also active in her Neighborhood Council as a two-term board member and Chair of its Safe Traffic and Transportation Committee, Ad Hoc Safe Streets Signage Committee, and its Ad Hoc Move and Inventory Committee. In the past, Kramer has also served on its Women's Empowerment of Sunland-Tujunga Committee and Animal Issues Committee. She is devoted to issues concerning the safety of her community and the humane treatment of companion animals. Pat is currently a freelance journalist, a memoir writer and ghostwriter, and a marketing and PR content writer for companies, public agencies, and business professionals.
