The annual election of members of the national Board of Directors has started. Members in good standing of the Sierra Club should receive a ballot, either by e-mail or through the U.S. Postal Service.

Voting Online is Quick and Easy!  Even if you receive your election materials in the mail, we encourage you to use the user-friendly Internet voting site to save time and postage.

If you do not receive a ballot by March 1, and believe you are eligible to vote, you should contact member.care@sierraclub.org

Five members of the Board of Directors will be chosen in this election. Voting for the National Board of Directors is one of the most important responsibilities of Sierra Club members. This is your opportunity to have a voice in the future operation and policies of your Club. Online votes must be received by 9:00 A.M. PDT on Wednesday, April 24.  If sending via ground mail, please mail your ballots early enough to be received no later than Election Day, April 24, 2019.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Sierra Club. The Board has the responsibility and authority to oversee all staff and volunteer activities of the Sierra Club, to establish the Sierra Club's conservation priorities and internal policies, and to adopt and implement our annual budget. The Board of Directors elects the Sierra Club's officers, including the President and the rest of the Executive Committee, and selects the Sierra Club's Executive Director. Their strong leadership and dedication are critical to the ongoing effectiveness of the Sierra Club. For more candidate information, go to http://www.sierraclub.org/board/election.

The Angeles Chapter recommends a vote for Oliver Bernstein, Aaron Mair, Patrick Murphy, Mike O’Brien, and Dave Scott in the upcoming election for the Sierra Club's Board of Directors.
