The 2009 Station Fire burned 160,000 acres in the San Gabriel Mountains, affecting people, wildlife and native plants. Please join us at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 for a special program providing an insider's view of how our iconic mountain range is recovering. Marty Dumpis, Acting Supervisor of Angeles National Forest, and members of his team will present Recovering from the Station Fire: The 2011 Update, how plants and critters are doing and where nature needs some help, such as in preventing an invasion of non-native plant species. Also, an update on areas that will be reopened to hiking this summer and fall. The public is welcome. Reception and refreshments at 7 p.m. Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena 91107.
