Chapter Chair Hersh Kelley attended the as well as SCRCC meetings California convention in San Luis Obispo.

Arrivederci, Maddalena!

We bid Conservation Coordinator Maddalena Serra a fond farewell in early November. Maddalena resigned to manage an eco-lodge in Panama. Nella boca del lupo! Sierra Club National approved hiring her replacement and a search is underway.

Fundraising Outings

Chairs Donna Specht and John LaJeuness reported that there are four new trips approved for 2011 and 2012 (Borneo, Hawaii, Nicaragua, Yellowstone) for a total of twelve for that period.

In addition to news of the new trips, the Chairs brought a $2000 check donated from the last Hawaii trip.

Awards Banquet

Donna Specht reported that the banquet will be May 2011 and encouraged everyone to sign up soon, as this year we might not be able to sign up late. Send checks for hosting to Donna, payable to Sierra Club Angeles Chapter. Email Donna.

Centennial Committee

November 2011 is the Angeles Chapter Centennial. We are seeking corporate sponsors for a centennial celebration fundraiser and commemorative items to sell.
