Southern California’s wildfires have been relentless this season, threatening not only communities but also some of the cherished landmarks that the Sierra Club has preserved for decades. Our three historic huts and lodges — Keller Peak Ski Hut, Harwood Lodge, and San Antonio Ski Hut — stood resilient in the face of these dangers, thanks to the efforts of firefighters and a touch of luck.
