What a great column Sandra Cattell wrote in the March Southern Sierran, titled Our Most Precious Resource. It echoes a speech I made on behalf of the Sierra Club in 1999 before a panel of the U.S.

Trade Representative. I attach the text of that speech and the Club's invitation to me to present it. I am sending a copy of Ms. Cattell's article to the upper reaches of my union and I would like to reprint it in our Local newsletter. As you may know, we work well with the Club at the national level.
