Phil Gaimon, author, retired pro-cyclist, and Sierra Club supporter is once again featuring the Angeles Chapter as the only title non-profit organization at this year’s Cookie Fondo. The Cookie Fondo is one of Phil’s signature events, drawing thousands of people to the Santa Monica Mountains during the weekend of October 26th and 27th.

 

We need volunteers to represent the Chapter and support the event’s auction out at our booth. The booth will be set up at the start/finish festival located in Westlake Village at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. With thousands of cyclists and their friends & family attending the event, this is a great opportunity to raise money and invite people to join the Sierra Club. Volunteers will also help boost bids by letting participants know about the auction. Phil has once again generously offered to donate to the chapter 100% of the revenue raised during the auction. Last year, we raised nearly $6,000. We are so grateful to Phil for his support! 

 

True to the name of the event, there will be plenty of free cookies for volunteers to enjoy!
