San Gabriel Valley Task Force

The San Gabriel Valley Task Force resolves the following for 2010:

1. Evaluate the draft and final environmental impact statements for the Vulcan rock quarry proposal to mine rock in Azusa on the western side their property rather than the permitted eastern side and concentrate on suggesting a favorable solution for relocation of the trail into Fish Canyon.
2. Continue study of proposals for the Discovery Center in Whittier Narrows to address concerns and meet the needs of the local community and region.
3. Participate in scoping meetings and master planning of the Whittier Narrows Recreational Area that are currently taking place that will extend into the New Year.
4. Monitor any new projects in the San Gabriel Valley as they are proposed.
