Member Training Workshop
The Angeles Chapter's Annual Member Training Workshop is coming up on Feb. 11 at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center in Pasadena. If you've taken on new responsibilities in the Chapter and need help learning the job, this is the program for you. The session on 'Where Am I? Naviguessing the Sierra Club,' for example, can help you figure out how your job fits into the big picture of the Club.

You can learn how to best convey your point to elected officials in a session where you'll get to practice, get video taped, and critiqued in a small group. Even if you've held your position before, a refresher never hurts. Plus you'll get to sample other topicsa, from fundraising to being a good leader to the hottest conservation issues of the day.

Calendar sale

Schedule of Activities
The next issue of the Schedule will be mailed by Feb. 1. If you want to receive your copy, be sure to submit any address change by Jan. 5. Bulk mail will not be forwarded by the post office. If you prefer not to receive the Schedule or if you want to pay for mailing by first class, use the Schedule Coupon on page 66 of the current Schedule.

ExComm meetings
The reorganization meeting will be held at Eaton Canyon Nature Center on Sunday, Jan. 8, at approximately 10am. This will be part of the annual ExComm retreat. The next regular Sunday ExComm meeting will be held Jan. 29 at 1pm in the Angeles Chapter office conference room.

Chapter retreat
The Angeles Chapter Executive Committee will hold its annual planning retreat at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 North Altadena Dr. in Pasadena. Members are welcome. Begins Friday, Jan. 6, from 7pm-10pm; Saturday, 8:30am-6pm, and Sunday 8:30am-3pm. Early arrivals (8am) will be treated to a continental breakfast. Holiday closing
Sierra Club offices will be closed Jan. 16 for the Martin Luther King holiday.
