Video camera wanted

Do you have a video camera or digital camera you could lend or donate to high school students to publicize their coastal conservation community education project? These youth have volunteered to complete a series of six Orange County Inner City Outings field trips in 2005 and teach elementary school students and other community members how inland activities affect our coast. Please call Lisa Hellman 714-964-4488 for more information on how you can support this program.

Population training

Join us for the 2005 National Population Activist Training, April 2-4, featuring forums on the latest population issues. Learn valuable activism skills, meet inspiring people, and become better advocates for international family planning. Come to Washington, DC, to learn how we can work together to: re-fund UNFPA; increase funding for the International Family Planning Program; and repeal the Global Gag Rule. Sierra Club's Global Population and Environment Program will pay for lodging and almost all of your meals. We encourage Sierra Club members to ask local chapters or groups for assistance in paying for travel costs to and from DC. For more details, please contact Sarah Fairchild at 202-675-2396 or sarah.fairchild-at-sierraclub.org. Space is limited. To find out more about Sierra Club's Global Population and Environment Program, visit www.sierraclub.org/population.

Bylaws anyone?

The Chapter bylaws are now in the process of evaluation. If you'd like to make changes to the bylaws, please notify the Bylaws Committee, in care of David Czamanske, by Feb. 15. You can find the current version of the bylaws at http://angeles.sierraclub.org/about/Bylaws.asp.

All amendments must be approved by the Angeles Chapter Executive Committee, then by the Sierra Club Board of Directors, and then submitted to the membership for final passage when elections are held.
