Homework UTM

Here are the UTM coordinates for each of the locations listed in Homework assignments A & B.  By using these you should be able to reduce the time it takes to do the homework to less than half.

All coordinates shown are based on the USGS 1:24,000, 7.5 minute Indian Cove quadrangle. These locations are in the 1,000-meter Universal Transverse Mercator grid, zone 11 and use the 1927 North American Datum (NAD 27).

Example UTM: Quail Mountain is located at grid:

701630 = 701 630 = Zone 11 570100E 3763000N

This coordinate is accurate to 100 meters, or a little more than an acre.

Relative coordinates are shown in parenthesis, ex: Rattlesnake Canyon (790709)
