Welcome to the Wilderness Adventures Section
of the Sierra Club's Angeles Chapter

The Wilderness Adventures Section is dedicated to providing families, couples and individuals with opportunities for the enjoyment and conservation of the earth's wilderness - mountains, wetlands, woodlands, wild shores, rivers, deserts and plains. We offer a variety of events including dayhikes, backpacks, ski trips, car camps & bus trips. Imagination, inspiration, and a love of the outdoors are our sole geographical limitation. Children or teenagers are welcome on trips if designated as suitable by the leader. Read a short history of the Wilderness Adventures Section.

"Walk away quietly in any direction and taste the freedom of the mountaineer. Camp out among the grasses and gentians of glacial meadows, in craggy garden nooks full of nature's darlings. Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energies, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. As age comes on, one source of enjoyment after another is closed, but nature's sources never fail. "

John Muir, 1901
