Thank you to all the volunteers who showed up for this year's National Public Lands Day! I joined our volunteers this Saturday at Peter Strauss Ranch. This is a National Park Service site, which we partner with to help maintain the trails. 

Water District Board Members Mike Ti and Jody Roberto Can End Rigged Study Promoting Desert-Damaging Water Project

The Cadiz corporation helped put a little-known water district in eastern LA County on the map -- but not for any reason the district would want. The Three Valleys Municipal Water District has been exposed by the Sierra Club, tribal leaders, and local ratepayers for rigging an $805,000 study of the Cadiz water mining project’s environmental impacts in favor of the corporation.
 

Dennis Loya Stepping down as Chapter Chair, Welcome Dyana Peña as new Chair

In mid-September, chapter chair Dennis Loya resigned from his committee positions, including his role as chapter chair. Citing an increasing workload in his day job and the increasing stress of chapter responsibilities, Dennis felt it was in the best interest of both his family and the chapter to step back and better focus on health and family.
