This is a great opportunity to get to know the Angeles Chapter better, for newcomers as well as longtime activists! Our guest speaker is the well-known nature photographer and environmentalist, Robert Glenn Ketchum. We will be discussing our goals and objectives for 2013, including the role of the chapter’s executive committee in helping the chapter to connect with its members, supporters and friends, grow its outings program, diversify its membership, communicate its programs, improve the effectiveness of its conservation efforts, and achieve financial sustainability. Saturday, January 5th, 2013 8:30am-9am – Breakfast and Registration 9am Ron Silverman, Senior Chapter Director – Introductions & Overview 9:15am Robert Glenn Ketchum, Award winning environmental photographer –“Old School Photography: New Projects & The Relevance of Social Media” 10:00am Carole Mintzer, Chapter Executive Committee – “Chapter Update” 10:20am Shannon Barnes, Consultant – “The Role of the Executive Committee in a Nonprofit Organization” 11am Susana Reyes, Sierra Club Board of Directors – the “One Million New Supporters” Program 11:30am Breakout Sessions Brainstorming time to generate ideas that will help the Chapter address some of its challenges and help set our direction for the coming year.
