Fellow Sierra Singles showed up for an urban walk to support a new leader-in-training on her provisional outing in Santa Monica. The roundtrip route followed San Vicente Blvd's grassy center median west towards the ocean, then took a jog along Ocean Ave to a spot just short of the Santa Monica pier. Lunch followed at a local popular neighborhood market back at the starting point. Provisional Ldr: Elaine Ayala, Co-ldr: Mary Morales.

Angeles Chapter event, an opportunity for newcomers and members to learn more about the Sierra Club activities in their neighborhoods. Attendees mingled with Sierra Club outings leaders and Chapter representatives, picked up brochures, newsletters and conservation material. LA & OC Sierra Singles co-sponsored outing to Pt Vicente Lighthouse, Rancho Palos Verdes. Museum docent, Derek Wallentinsen led tour of the museum; group had a private tour of the lighthouse; participants carpooled to Abalone Cove Shoreline Park for tidepool walk and enjoyed a group picnic on museum grounds afterward. Sierra Singles leaders, Francine Oschin and Dr. Rosemarie White led a hike March 31, 2007 on the Bee Canyon/Mission Peak Trail with LA District 12 Councilman, Greig Smith and an enthusiastic San Fernando Valley group at O'Melveny Park. The councilman, pictured second from right in last photo represents Northridge, Granada Hills, Chatsworth, Canoga Park, Porter Ranch, parts of West Van Nuys and Encino, West Hills, North Hills and Lake Balboa.
