Relax, hike and enjoy the local mountains at your beautiful stone lodge nestled among a pine forest. Open to all members and their guests (limit 2) for a nominal fee. For details see p xxx. No reservations required. Bring Sierra Club card. Lodge open Sat 10 am until Sun 3 pm.

Come spend the weekend at Keller Hut in the San Bernardino Mtns. Across the street from Snow Valley Ski Resort with Big Bear ski resorts just minutes away. Xc skiing or snowshoeing right out the door. Downhill skiing available nearby ski resorts. Or just come up to relax, curl up with a good book, or explore the area during your stay at the hut. Help repair wilderness trails damaged by floods in 2005. Possible trails include Agua Blanca (7 mi rt, 900' gain), Devil's Potrero Trail (7 mi rt, 2000' gain). No experience necessary. Forest Service provides tools. Rain cancels. Meet 8 am Sylmar rideshare pt.

Learn ways to protect the areas we hike and enjoy on this moderately paced trek on the Heaton Flats Trail above the E Fork of the San Gabriel River. This 6 mi, 2000' gain hike will offer outstanding view of Mt Baldy and the San Antonio Ridge. We will talk about how this remote area can get greater protection and how the less remote areas can better serve visitors. Meet 8:30 am at the Azusa rideshare pt. Bring water, lunch, hat and extra clothing layer. Heavy rain cancels.

Easy paced 6 mi rt, 600' gain hike through rolling hills. Great for fit beginners. Join the Sierra Club at special $25 introductory rate and receive free gift. Meet 8:15 am (from 5 Fwy, N on Jamboree, or from 55 Fwy, E on Chapman, S on Jamboree; then take Canyon View into $3 parking area). If park is closed, meet in Taco Bell parking lot, corner Chapman/Jamboree. Bring water, light lugsoles. Rain cancels.

Fast-paced conditioning hike 6 mi rt, 700' gain. Not for beginners. Meet 8 am every Sat (from 5 Fwy, N on Jamboree or from 55 Fwy, E on Chapman, take Canyon View to park entrance (if park is closed, meet in Taco Bell parking lot on corner of Chapman and Jamboree).
