Ride Sharing

Transportation Policy
Leaders cannot take an active role in making arrangements for participants' transportation. The Sierra Club does not have insurance for carpooling arrangements and assumes no liability for them. The leader supplies directions to the trailhead, but carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among the participants. Participants assume the risks associated with this travel. Riders customarily share expenses with drivers. The contribution varies with the vehicle, number of riders, road condition, etc. A suggested amount is 10¢ per mile per person.

• E San Gabriel Vly: Lucky Market W parking lot, Eastland Shopping Center, W Covina; N on Citrus Av from San Bernardino Fwy (I–10). map
• La Cañada: Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2), Just N of Foothill Fwy (I–210). Park on Angeles Crest Hwy only. map
• Long Beach: Park in Lot 14 at CSULB next to CSULB Recycling Center. Turn R onto Merriam Wy (Fanwood on L) from Atherton (off Bellflower Blvd) in LB. map
• Malibu: Malibu Civic Center. Parking lot not available on Sat; park on street. From Pacific Coast Hwy, N on Webb Way, R on Civic Ctr Way. map
• Monrovia: Park–N–Ride Myrtle Ave, 1 block S of I-210 Fwy. map
• Mt Baldy: Pomona First Federal Bank & Trust parking lot, NE corner, Indian Hill/Foothill Bls; Indian Hill exit from I–10. N about 1 mi. (Weekends only) map
• Pacific Palisades: Los Liones Dr at Sunset Bl ¼ mi from PCH. map
• Pomona: Towne Av exit from SB Fwy (I–10), S ½ block, park along curb. map
