What Are The Qualities Needed For Leadership?

Judgment, inspiration, awareness, and current membership in the Sierra Club are the most important qualities in a leader. Fitness, gender, height, hair color, sexual orientation, income, and educational level do not matter.

Why Be A Sierra Club Leader?

Leader Contact Information

Presently, there is no way we can publish contact information for outings leaders on this web site. This information is printed in the Schedule of Activities which all Angeles Chapter members receive, by mail, every four months. If you do not have the schedule, you can email the the Outings Leaders List administrator (click here). Please be sure to include the name and date of the outing in question, and your own contact information.

Directory Change Form

Use this online form (click here) to submit new or updated contact information for the Schedule of Activities. Any changes will also be forwarded to the Chapter Office and to the Sierra Club Database. (You must actually be an officer of a Chapter Entity or leading an outing appearing in the current Schedule of Activities to be listed in the Schedule of Activities).

The Safety Leaders List

The Safety Leaders List contains safety rating information on active outings leaders. It does not contain contact information. It's sole purpose is to allow outings chairs and other outings planners to review the qualifications (ratings) of individual leaders. If you need access to this list, you can obtain the userid and password from the Outings Leaders List administrator (click here).
