Tour the Channel Islands with Angeles Chapter

FEBRUARY 9-11, 2008 Saturday-Monday
POLITICAL COMMITTEE OFFERS OUTING TO CHANNEL ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK
Rating O: Angeles Chapter Political Committee

This 3-day fundraising cruise takes us to San Miguel, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz Islands. We expect the islands to be ablaze with winter wildflowers, waters churning with wildlife, & the sky filled with spectacular sea birds. In winter, San Miguel Island attracts one of the largest gatherings of seals and sea lions in the western hemisphere, and Santa Rosa Island is a treasure trove of relics left behind by the Chumash. We will complete our winter adventure with a trip to Painted Cave on Santa Cruz Island, reputed to be one of the world’s largest sea caves. The $475 fee includes an assigned bunk, all meals, snacks, beverages plus the services of a ranger/naturalists who will travel with us. Trip departs from Santa Barbara aboard the 68’ Truth. To make a reservation send a check for $100, payable to the Sierra Club to Joan Jones Holtz, 11826 The Wye St., El Monte, CA 91732. For more ino: 626-443-0706; jholtzhln@aol.com
