Santa Cruz, Redwood and Central Coast Memorial Day Lodge Bus Trip

Not a backpack. Leave Los Angeles Friday evening for 3 days of sightseeing and day hiking in Santa Cruz, nearby Redwoods, and the Central Coast. We will visit beautiful groves of Coastal Redwoods in Big Basin Redwoods and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Parks. We will visit Ano Nuevo State Reserve, home to seals, elephant seals, otters, shore birds, some endangered species. We will also visit Half Moon Bay, Natural Bridges States Beach and many interesting beaches and coastal area along the Central Coast. Spend the evening in Santa Cruz at one of the many seaside restaurants at the Boardwalk, one of the oldest in California. Our motel in downtown Santa Cruz is not far from the Boardwalk and pier.

Prices for SC members are $430 per person with 2 persons per room. Early sign-up discount extended – deduct $15 if sign-up received before April 15th. Non-members add $40. Cost includes bus, motels, Monday dinner, bus refreshments. Nature Knowledge Workshop

Join the Natural Science Section for a weekend of discovery and enjoyment as you learn about the natural wonders that surround you. From our streamside camp accommodations in the San Bernardino Mtns. We’ll explore 3 habitats- chaparral, forest and riparian via easy guided walks led by our naturalists. Special interest and hands on workshops will be taught Saturday afternoon and evening by our professional naturalists who will share their expertise in a variety of natural history topics such as bird, bat, reptile, plant, mammal, insect, and geology studies.

Fee includes 2 nights lodging in dormitory cabins (bring own sleeping bag), 6 full-course meals and instruction. (Tent or car camping available). All this and hot showers too! Reservation deadline June 1. AUGUST 31-SEPTEMBER 7, 2008 Caribbean Cruise with a Touch of Europe

Join Sierra Club members and friends on a 7-night/8-day cruise to islands in the eastern Caribbean aboard the Carnival Destiny. Ports of call are San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Dominica; St. Kitts; La Romana, Dominican Republic; and back to San Juan.
