The Orange County Group now meets on the second Tuesday of every month
at 7:30 pm. Come join us at Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) meeting room!! Irvine Ranch
Water District's (IRWD) headquarters building at 15600 Sand Canyon Ave. may be easily accessed
from either the San Diego (405) or the Santa Ana Freeway (5). From either freeway take the
Sand Canyon exit.
From the 5 Freeway: Exit at Sand Canyon Ave. and drive South approximately half a mile.
After passing Irvine Center Drive, the next light is Waterworks Way. You may make a legal
U-turn at Waterworks and enter IRWD from the Sand Canyon driveway, or make a left turn at
the Waterworks signal and enter IRWD from the Waterworks driveway.
From the 405 Freeway: Exit at Sand Canyon Ave. and drive north approximately 7/10ths of
a mile. Just after the signal at Waterworks Way, make a right turn into the IRWD driveway.
Watch for Sierra Club signs.

Monthly Meeting: GABI MCLEAN of the Natural Science Section will present a Power Point program
on “A Sense of Place---The San Gabriel River Watershed.” This educational & entertaining
visual-musical program will feature the river, its tributaries, wildlife & plants of the area

Monthly Meeting: “Havasupai, People of the Blue Green Water.” Sierra Club leader ANA JUAREZ
gives a presentation on her recent journeys to the land of the Supai and the people who have
lived there for hundreds of years. Come and enjoy a narrated slide presentation on this remote
land and its people. Be prepared for a visual treat of several magnificent waterfalls as we
