Approval of Agenda.
Approval of Minutes

The October 5, 2009 OMC Meeting minutes were approved without corrections.
Notices
1. The Ski Mountaineering Section held an election and is not dissolving.
Committee Reports
1. Treasurer and International Trips Liaison - have the financial reports for outings assembly - $567 - International - 2009 had 9 trips on books, 4 cancelled - 8 scheduled for 2010 - No other chapters do international trips.
2. WTC - discount ends 12/15 - we usually have rush at that time - issue of having 1st aid certificates and CPR for Inyo NF and JTree special use permits - Working on possibility of additional WFA course (substitute for Schuster course).
3. LTC - Tina Bowman. LTC Seminar held Saturday - 60 attendees. The next seminar will be 4/10/09.
4. Safety Committee - entities have quick turnaround approval - most active entities.
5. LOSC - no report.
6. Conservation - John Hinz all entities encouraged to send representatives to Chapter retreat to discuss Chapter's financial situation - Park Service comment period on San Gabriels now closed - will come out with plan in 2010 - Controversy re Whittier Narrows Discovery Center - tour early in January - Chapter does not yet have a position.
7. Ombudsman - Bill Jackson. No activity.
8. Bus Transportation - Joel Goldberg. No report.
9. First Aid Coordinator - No report.
10. Land Manager - Patrick Vaughn - no report.
11. ICO - Barbara Creighton - no report.
12. Carbon Footprint - Sherry Ross - no report.
13. Diversity TF - Melody Anderson - written report.
Old Business
1. OMC formal communications to ECC - email vote - resolution attached to agenda - passed - ECC has been notified.
2. Affiliations with SCMA and Red Cross - Schwitkis - no changes.
3. Assembly subcommittee updates - new members - included in agenda - 61 rsvp'd - 37 showed up - Next year - go back to old format - Eaton - delegate date choice to Donna.
4. Tejon Ranch - ranch company impressed with the way we run outings - open to more outings - considering creating docent program.
5. Conservation conversation between Hinz and Simpson - conversation not yet held - topic of having conservation committee members get involved in outings. - no response - consider assembly topic - George, John, Jane, Melody to work on ideas and report back.
6. AWESOME - Angeles Web-based Support for Outings Management and Education - postponed.
New Business / Action Items
1. OMC Chair for 2010 - Ken is willing to serve again.
2. Updated Governance Policy - Phil drafted changes - Phil will send out an updated version for comments. Comments within 10 days. Revised version will be sent out and then we will have an electronic vote not later than 1/10. Adopted.
