published in chapter schedule to me or the Safety committee?
- Currently trips could be published without chapter Or LOSC approval.
Treasurer:
Budget 2008: $1,250. Expenses for 2008: Outings Assembly Nov 8, $513
Field Recruiting New Sierra Club members on Outings:
- Field recruiting on outings is the #1 choice for recruiting new
members, new leaders, new activists.
- See separate report for participating entities.
- Entities not participating in field recruiting could possibly be
an indication of an entity in trouble.
LTC report:
- Next seminar is Saturday, April 4th, in Costa Mesa, sponsored by OCSS.
- The 17th edition of the LRB should be hot off the press about the time
of the OMC meeting.
- LTC now has a safety policy.
- Dan Richter is putting together a series of rock workshops to help
foster new M leaders and mountaineering participants. These will be
held next fall.
First Aid Report:
- A special THANK YOU to Phil Wheeler. He personally assisted me
in getting my name and our First Aid class listed on the Sierra Club
Clubhouse national website. This website includes information for all
Sierra Club members on a national level.
- Phil is a dedicated and very involved member who really cares
about helping others.
- I am gearing up to teach large groups of members who will need to
re-qualify this year.
- Please contact me in advance to set up classes and locations to ensure
we can get everyone who needs the First Aid certification. I will
continue to teach a class at the chapter headquarters.
- Thank you Mark Hertz for the referral to the Los Padres chapter
where I certified their WTC leaders recently in First Aid and CPR.
- I have updated my class with Sierra Club national emergency medical
forms. I appreciate any new material that members would like me to
include in the class.
- Thank you all for your continued support.
