2010 Candidate Trent Nguyen

I became a Sierra Club member in 2005 and volunteered as the 20's and 30's Singles Section webmaster at the same time. Working closely with the section's management committee, I revamped the look of the section's website and developed features that made it more user friendly. With all the enhancements, the website has been instrumental in attracting more members and helping outings leaders coordinate events easier. I was certified as an O rated outings leader earlier in 2006. Since then, I have organized many single day events and led several successful multi-day trips. During this time, I have worked hard to improve the diversity within the 20s & 30s Singles Section. I am happy to say that our section has grown to encompass a variety of events and include people of various ethnicities and demographics. I served on the 20s & 30s Singles Section Management Committee as their Secretary from 2007 to 2009 and then took on their Outings Chair position in mid-2009. I believe that my experience and energy will be a great addition to the Outings Management Committee. Please consider me for one of 2010 Outings Rep positions.
