Candidate Karen Leverich

I'm Karen Isaacson Leverich, and have been active with the Hundred Peaks Section of Angeles Chapter since going nuts as a peakbagger in 2001. I've been an I-rated leader since 2002 (managing, with a lot of help from other leaders, to lead the entire HPS list by 2006) and the Hundred Peaks Outings Chair since 2003. I took the Outings Chair Training in early 2008 and was approved for the privilege of accepting Quick Turnaround Outings later that year. I've led 200 or more outings and handled over 2000 outings as Outings Chair.

I've been interested in issues (such as Quick Turnaround approval of outings) that make it easier for our leaders to introduce participants to the wonderful mountains and wildernesses of Southern California. I'm excited about the possibility of an online Outings Management System that could make it even easier for our leaders to schedule and our participants to find new outings.

I look forward to supporting the Outings Management Committee, perhaps as a member, or perhaps as an interested Outings Chair and leader.
