Candidate Gabe Sende

To whom it may concern:

I am interested in joining the Management Committee for the next term.

Have been member of the Club since the late 60's and became active member of the International Community Section and few years ago I joined the SFV group.

Became a leader almost 20 years ago and have been leading hikes and urban walks, organizing carcamps and ethnic dinners.

When the Outing Chair position became available after its long time Chair retired I became the OC. I also became the Treasurer of the group.

And just recently was voted in as the Outing Chair of the International Community Section.

I would like to see that Outing Chairs get to know each other and discuss their activities and try to join forces. Many members only attend their own group's activities and this would give them an opportunty to meet each other.

As you may know lot of the activities overlap. Some days there are none and other days are too many. I would like to propose a meeting of all the Outing Chairs before each scheduling deadline to coordinate the activities to avoid any scheduling conlicts and maybe do some outing together.

As you may know we are short of leaders who are willing to lead hikes. The meetings would also help each group, to share leaders who would step up to help.

I am looking forward to join the Management Committee.
