Voting members of the Angeles Chapter

I am requesting your vote as I am seeking election to one of the positions available as Outing's Leader Representative for the Outing's Management Committee (OMC). My name is David Meltzer. As a relative new member to the Sierra Club since 2001, I have been active in the club. I currently hold the position as one of your Outings Representatives for LTC, (Leadership Training Committee). I hold the positions of Chairperson and staff member for the Long Beach/South Bay section of the Wilderness Travel Course (WTC) and my outings experience range from leading monthly newcomer, moonlight and conditioning hikes to multiple day trips in the High Sierra's, local mountains and deserts for "first timer" backpackers to seasoned veterans of the outdoors. I have participated or led trips and events with Inner City Outings (ICO), 20's and 30's Singles, WTC, Natural Science Section and others.

I plan to be an active voice for all of the outstanding outing's leaders so the OMC is made aware of your issues, concerns and most of all bringing new ideas on having safer, fun and different outings available to our members.
