AUG 30 SAT 3-5PM LITTLE HIKERS AT TURTLE ROCK PARK, IRVINE
Come and play games in the park and visit the Nature Center. Directions: 405 fwy, exit South at University/Jeffrey, Left on Ridgeline, Left on Turtle Rock Drive , pass Sunnyhill then turn left into parking lot of Turtle rock Community Park . SEPT 6 SAT 8:30 AM LITTLE HIKERS AT ICEHOUSE CANYON
O: An end-of-summer 1-2 mi, 400' gain walk into Icehouse Canyon, then an optional stop at Harwood Lodge for Sierra Club members and guests (see Harwood information in the Chapter Schedule of Activities) to relax, eat snacks and drink lemonade provided by the leader. Supervised children and adults welcome. Meet 8:30am North Orange County rideshare pt or 9:15am Mt. Baldy rideshare pt. Wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes; bring water and lunch. We will make a stop near Baldy Village to see a reconstucted Tongva shelter and to buy an Adventure Pass (USFS parking Pass.) Rain cancels. Ldr: Julie Garner (714-335-1579), Asst: Carol Christiansen.

NOV 1 SAT 7 PM LITTLE HIKERS LA NOCHE DE LOS MUERTOS SANTIAGO PARK
O: [OCSS, OCG]: Campfire and Night walk: We'll look for owls, ghosts and other night-time creatures as we creep along the dark trails. After, we can tell folk tales and ghost stories around the campfire and enjoy treats provided by the leader. Supervised children and Newcomers welcome. Meet 7:00 pm at the new nature center, Santiago Park Nature Reserve, 900 E. Memory Lane, Santa Ana. Dress warm, bring a flashlight, wear sturdy shoes. JAN 11 SUN 9:00 AM LITTLE HIKERS AT SANTIAGO PARK
O: [OCSS, OCG]: Slow paced, mostly flat, 1 mi walk through an urban riparian habitat and a visit to the new Nature Center. After, we can go for a ride down the longest slide in an Orange County park. Supervised children and Newcomers welcome. Meet 9:00 am at the Santiago Park Lawn Bowling Clubhouse (510 E. Memory Ln, Santa Ana - from I-5, N on Main, E on Memory Ln, right turn into parking lot). Supervised children and adults welcome. Meet 8:30 am North Orange County rideshare pt or 9:15am Mt. Baldy rideshare pt. Wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes; bring water and lunch. We will make a stop near Baldy Village to see a reconstructed Tongva shelter and to buy an Adventure Pass (USFS parking Pass.) Heavy snow within 2 days or rain cancels.
