Few people think there's wild land left in coastal Southern California. But in the heart of South Orange County - within a stone's throw of urban sprawl's front lines - lies 35,000 acres of rare habitat that occurs in only five places in the world. This wildland is a biological reservoir of national importance and a beautiful land of hills, oaks and wildlife. The land, connecting mile-high peaks with world-famous surf at Trestles Beach, is not the stereotypical Southern California of traffic and subdivisions.

Saddleback Canyons Conservancy - County-wide group based in Trabuco Canyon, California (South Orange County - Southern California) whose mission is to work together as friends and neighbors to preserve and protect our rural lifestyle and the pristine nature of our beloved canyons. We seek to identify those elements critical to ensuring the quality of life we enjoy today and preserving it for our children.

Friends of the Foothills - Friends of the Foothills seeks to protect South Orange County's quality of life by permanently preserving South Orange County's remaining open space, stopping the extension of the Foothill-South Toll Road, and keeping our creeks and surf clean.
