Welcome 20’s & 30’s!
You can participate in many different activities with the Orange County Sierra Singles (OCSS) 20’s & 30’s group. We have easy hikes, all day hikes and conditioning hikes. If you prefer social events we host concerts, movie nights, dances and other social functions that allow you get to know our members in a relaxed atmosphere. While we encourage membership you don’t have to be a member to participate in our events. JUNE 22 SUN 5:00PM 20S&30S SEAVIEW PARK TO PACIFIC SUNSET HIKE
O: Easy pace, 3-4 mile r/t evening hike starting and ending at Seaview park in Laguna Niguel. Elevation change is roughly 900 ft. Enjoy sunset views of Catalina and the Pacific coast as we descend the Toovet trail to the Pacific Ocean and return via West St. and the Valido Trail. Meet 5:00 pm at entrance to Seaview park. Directions from I-5 & Alicia Pkwy: Alicia Pkwy south towards the ocean for 6.2 miles, R on Pacific Island Drive go 1.2 miles, R at Talavera Drive (top of hill) go 0.3 miles to park at end of road near entrance to Seaview Park. DO NOT enter the gated community Laguna Sur. No restrooms on this hike. Bring snacks, sturdy shoes, 2 quarts water, & $ for optional dinner at TBD eatery after hike. Rain cancels. June 28th SATURDAY 20s&30s Dinner & Movie Night 6:00pm
Come join us for dinner and a movie at the Spectrum in Irvine (71 Fortune Drive). Newcomers welcome!! Meet at the fountain just outside the food court at 6:00pm. Look for the green balloons. Movie selection will be made during dinner. Hosts: Danielle & Johnny Reddel .
JULY 2 WED 6:30PM 20S/30S ALISO CREEK TRAIL FROM EL TORO PARK
O: Join the OCSS 20s/30s for an easy-moderate pace, 5-7 mile r/t evening walk starting and ending at El Toro Park. No tigers please. We walk the fully paved Aliso Creek Trail and will turn around after an hour for an 8:30pm return. Meet at El Toro Park in front of the restrooms at Larkwood Lane & Arrowwood Street in Lake Forest. JULY 13 SUN 8:00 AM 20&30S SAN ONOFRE BEACH HIKE
O: Enjoy the fresh ocean air as we beat the heat of summer along the water's edge of San Onofre Beach. Easy pace 5-mile walk on mostly level terrain. No tigers. Newcomers are welcome. Meet at 8:00am at South Orange County Rideshare. We will carpool to San Onofre Beach to share parking costs. Bring shoes, 2 qts water, sunscreen, and money for optional lunch at TBD eatery. AUG 7 THURS 6PM 20/30S HAPPY HOUR AT THE GOAT HILL
C: Meet new friends and celebrate happy hour at the Goat Hill Tavern. Enjoy a selection of 100+ beers on tap. Bring $$$. The Goat Hill is located across the street from Triangle Square at 1830 Newport Blvd. Costa Mesa, CA 92627. There is more parking in the back. We will meet at 6PM. Host: Bill Stevens.
AUG 24 SUN 11:00AM 20S&30S ANGELS BASEBALL GAME & BRUNCH
C: Come join us for a day of baseball, food, and fun! Will meet for brunch at Lazy Dog Café 1623 West Katella Ave. Orange, CA 92867 at 11:00am. Afterwards, we'll carpool over to the game to cheer on Angels' Vladimir Guerrero, John Lackey, Garret Anderson and the rest of the Angels take on the Minnesota Twins.
