International Day of Climate Action on 24 October.
On 24 October at the Irvine Regional Park from 7:00am to 2:30pm there will be an important gathering to demonstrate the importance of curbing global warming. There will be a 5K walk by the UN, hikes led by the Sierra Club(both starting at 7:00am, the planting of trees by youngsters, at 10:00am guest speakers including the keynote address by Chris Prelitz, author of Green Made Easy, At 11:30am attendees will form a number 350 for an aerial photo, and at 12:15 a lunch and visits to the exhibits where several environmental companies will have "freebie" items to pass out. There will be closing remarks at 2:15pm and the event will close at 2:30am. The cost of the event is only $10 and that includes lunch. Parking is somewhat limited, so please carpool if you can and arrive early to avoid a $5 charge for overflow parking. Go to
