Mt Pinos-Condor Ridge Day Ski Tour:
Moderate 4 miles 600’ gain to
panoramic vista. Ski to summit at Condor Point. Possible side trips may
add a short distance. Intermediate or good beginner X-C ski skills
recommended. Bring water, clothing, water, lunch. Rental gear probably
available on way. Lack of snow or bad weather cancels trip Phone leader 2

Join fellow nordic skiers for a fine day of
easy of touring at Mt. Pinos. Suitable for novice skiers or casual
intermediates. Bring trail lunch, skis, boots, poles, 10 essentials and
water. Meet 8:00 am at Sylmar carpool point. For information on snow

Rise to a new level of speed, efficiency and fun with intermediate x-c lesson with PSIA certified Nordic instructor Todd Yuen. Beginner lessons on Saturday with Susan McDonough followed by a tour on Sunday to have fun with your newly acquired skills. Fee includes, transportation, all meals and lodging at Sierra Nevada Inn (2 bds/2 pers/rm). Space limited, sign ups in order of trip signup. certified instructors make this a great combination for learning free
heel turns. The lifts and groomed slopes accelerate learning these
skills for the backcountry. You must provide boots and metal edged skis.

Trip Reservations:
Most trips require sending the leader a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) so a trip information sheet can be mailed to you.
Please include your name, address, work/home phone numbers, carpool interest, trip desired, and previous ski experience (if
you are not known by the leader). Some trips require certain equipment and/or prepayment. Make checks payable to Nordic Ski
Touring Section. Leader addresses and phone numbers may be found on the section leadership page.
Make reservation in advance with check(s) payable to Nordic Ski Touring Section.
Unless otherwise stated, written cancellation may be made up to 32 days prior to the trip. After that, 90% is refundable only with
suitable replacement.
