Kayaking? Check. Hiking? Check. LA ICO takes students on one wild Catalina trip

Most of the middle school kids had never been on a boat before. Most had never learned to swim, had never snorkeled or kayaked. And all 73 of them discovered a newfound love of camping and the outdoors.

The Chapter's Inspiring Connections Outdoors or LA ICO and 20s and 30s Section co-sponsored a Memorial Day camping trip to the wild side of Catalina Island. The result? Well, lots of happy campers. More

Meet the Chapter's new senior director

George Watland steps up as senior director of the Angeles Chapter Sierra Club. Watland, who has been with the Chapter for three and a half years, develops and implements all programs, policies, and  initiatives for the chapter. More

The Chapter also says goodbye to staffer Jennifer Robinson who has been a vital force for eight years on numerous conservation issues and campaigns. She has relocated to the East Coast.
