In response to the current government shutdown and the negative impact it is having on our San Gabriel Mountains and San Gabriel River, we are organizing a rapid response river cleanup at the Heaton Flats area of the San Gabriel River. Come show your support for the San Gabriel Mountains and for the Forest Service employees and volunteers who are not currently allowed to care for the San Gabriels while the government is closed. Now more than ever the Forest and the San Gabriel River needs your help.

Saturday 1/26/19 our Nature For All Stewards Volunteer Group will be having a  small cleanup of the Heaton Flats area of the San Gabriel River. We will be meeting at the Gold Hill parking lot at 9am. This is the same parking lot people use to hike into the Bridge to Nowhere. Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or wet.
